How It Works
We pull official state filings daily
New York, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, Ohio, and Washington — directly from Secretary of State databases.
We classify and organize
Each filing is tagged with inferred industry, entity type, city, and contact info so you can filter to exactly what matters.
You find fresh leads
Every business listed just registered — they need insurance, banking, accounting, and operational tools. Reach them first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the data come from?
All data comes from official Secretary of State and Comptroller databases. These are public records — the same filings regulators use to verify business legitimacy.
How fresh is the data?
Most states are updated daily. A business filing appears here within 24-48 hours of being processed by the state. Some states (Ohio) update monthly.
Who uses BizRegistered?
Insurance agents, accountants, B2B sales teams, commercial real estate brokers, and business attorneys. Any professional who wants to reach new business owners in their first week of operation.
Is this free?
Yes. All searches and browsing are free. The data is public record — we organize and present it in a more useful format than the raw state databases.
How is the industry determined?
We infer industry from the business name using keyword matching. A business named “Joe's Roofing LLC” is tagged as Construction. This isn't perfect — about 40% of businesses don't have obvious industry keywords in their name.
